On January 30, 2020 from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM, LIFT Dane is holding an event at the Dane County Job Center to assist low-income people in reinstating or getting their driver’s licenses so they can get to and from work.

Participants in the event will meet one-on-one with volunteer attorneys to receive help with their driver’s license-related issues.

Volunteer attorneys can help people with issues like:  

-Reopening previous legal forfeiture judgments preventing access to a driver’s license, 

-Reopening previous traffic demerit points judgements preventing access to a driver’s license,

-Understanding and addressing OWI-related barriers to accessing a driver’s license,

-Identifying and facilitating access to an occupational driver’s license.
